Hacienda Bibiloni

This showcase is dedicated to Juan Carlos who was an owner/ operator of this farm. Thank you for the love and light you brought to this earth, life, friendship and inspiration.

Company:
Hacienda Bibiloni

On a beautiful 600 acres of pristine rainforest type topography that has been well taken care of. A lot of work has going into this land. With agriculture ranging from Oranges, Coffee, Plantains and more. Until recently the citrus greening has hit some of the acreage with orange trees.

At Hacienda Bibiloni, its quality over quantity, but we like both!
Farm/ Grow operation:
Organic Farm
Location:
Utuado, Puerto Rico
Objective of showcase:

Our goal is two fold:

A) Help stop the Citrus greening blight and reverse the damages from the harmful bacteria.
B) Enhance plant growth, vitality and production.

Type of plant(s):
Plantains
Orange Trees
Coffee
Approach of installation:

We have installed:
• 2 AgroSonics units treating 15 Plantain trees.
• 3 AgroSonics units treating 3 Orange citrus trees.
• 2 AgroSonics units treating 19 coffee trees.

Observations:

Plantains:
We noticed it helped to repair the leaves well and inspired new growth.

Oranges:
Lots more fresh leaves and Fresh flowers on orange trees. Did not get rid of mold but promoted lots of fresh new leaves and flowers that did not have any mold or damage at all.

Coffee:
Coffee plants weren't being taken care of and there were lots of weeds that were not being weeded. We wanted to see what would happen anyways. We found that AgroSonics did not really help the coffee, but more helped the weeds to grow bigger and start to take over the coffee. This goes to show that one needs to make sure proper space and care for plants are established, unless the plants are symbiotic, it can cause for the competition of plants to either help each other more or to compete more for space.
